Have you thought about the west of of Ireland for your next event?

CES's own Charlotte went to Galway and Limerick to find out the best options when planning events there....

What can I say, it has been an amazing trip to the West Region of Ireland and what an experience it was! We managed to cram so much in to the little time we had there and made so many amazing memories.

Day One:-

After a short flight into Shannon Airport we were welcomed with some traditional Irish music which we joined in playing our spoons (not very well I may add). Galway - a stunning city with a proper Irish charm. Colourful art works, cobbled streets and amazing history - we were treated to a yummy food tour of the city and tried all of the local delicacies.

Checked into the brand-new Radisson Red Galway Hotel (opened December 2024) which offers modern and sophisticated décor plus great meeting space for up to 150 delegates! The hotel even offers a rooftop bar on the sixth floor in which we were treated to some wonderful canapes and cocktails.

Following this we went on a pub crawl to some traditional Irish pubs with live music.

Day Two:-

After a restful night we headed off to the family run recording studio of Stiuideo Cuan where we were given a workshop of Irish singing, music and dancing. I have to admit, with the views and the music it did bring happy tears to my eyes! We then went onto have lunch at the Twelve Hotel which I have to say, was some of the yummiest food I have ever eaten, then on to Cnoc Suian to learn about the bogs.

For our afternoon delight we went to the Micil Distillery and tasted gins, poitin and of course, traditional Irish whiskey!

Day Three:-

We started our trip of the Wild Atlantic Way, first stop being at Caherconnell Farm where we were treated to a sheepdog show and a cuddle with the lambs before we jumped into our next adventure of touring the beautiful countryside in Grenadiers 4x4 off roaders.. Touring through the Irish landscape we were treated to some amazing vocals from one of the drivers and headed up the Fanore Mountain which had some incredible views and enjoyed a pint of Guinness at the summit.

With the cobwebs blown away, we headed to the infamous Cliffs of Moher and had a traditional whiskey toast to the cliffs in the beautiful sunshine! Then lovely fish and chips in the seaside town of Lahinch before heading off to Limerick where we were staying at The Savoy. Upon checking into the glamourous hotel we were shown the meeting spaces with can accommodate up to 100 guests before we were treated to a cocktail making session and then we ate our body weight in delicious food on the Terrace.

Forth and Final Day:-

We headed off to Durty Nelly’s (the oldest pub in Ireland) for a wonderful Sunday lunch and a short walk to visit the iconic Bunratty Castle! The castle was absolutely amazing and steeped in history and with the actors making this living museum come to life. Finishing up we were treated to a Bodhran drumming session and lastly a delectable Irish coffee.

Hello Sunshine!

Here at Complete Event Solutions we're so happy that Spring is finally here. The sun is shining, summer clothes are making an appearance and the washing is on the line!

Spring is also the time when lots of companies start implementing their conference and event plans for the year.

It's a busy time for us but we love the buzz we get organising all of the new events - large and small, all over the world. Our recent enquiries have been everywhere from the UK to Africa to Ireland to Denmark and everywhere in between.

It makes our days interesting, fun, diverse and challenging - every day is a school day!
